Best Things! (My Opinions)

Best Wallets! The best wallets that I have ever seen is from My Walit. Their wallets are pretty expensive, (they are made out of leather!) but they are really nice and soft.

Best Soufflé Pancake! The best soufflé pancake goes to the Banana Soufflé Pancake from the breakfast restaurant, Aloha Kitchen. It is only in Waikiki, Oahu in Hawaii.

Best Grilled Cheese! The best grilled cheese sandwich in San Francisco is at the very eccentric restaurant that has a carnival theme, Straw. I got my grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup and I dipped my sandwich in it. There is burnt cheese on top of the sandwich(not literally burnt!) and bacon in the sandwich.

Best Cake Ever! In New York for spring break, we ate at Lady M. Lady M is a cake bakery with the best cakes ever. My favorite cake from Lady M is the checkered cake. It has chocolate and vanilla layer. When you cut the cake, it looks like a checkered board on the side! I rate it 9/10!

Best Chocolate! The best chocolate is from Christopher Elbow. My favorite flavors are the Ghana chocolate and the Venezuelan 70%.

Best Pizza! The best pizza ever is the Meet-zaa pizza. You can get it at the Montage exclusive resorts in Kapalua Bay, Hawaii(in Maui). It is a pepperoni pizza with Portuguese sausage and bacon bits. The best parts of the pizza is the dough, the cheese, and the sausage.

Best Sushi Restaurant! The best sushi restaurant goes to Sushi Run, located in Sausalito(across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco). The best sushi there is the Creamy Scallop Maki. The best dish is the Miso Glazed Black Cod. This place is sushi heaven!

Best Sandwiches! The best sandwiches are from PotBelly. They are so good! My favorite sandwich is a salami, ham, and provolone sandwich on white bread. The best one is in the Boston airport.

The Great And Bad Things About Phones

Phones are practically mini computers that have one huge factor: they are mobile. You can take them with you while jogging, biking, etc. Also, you are able to communicate with others when you are on the go. Warnings and alerts can notify you if there is a huge natural disaster, and applications can help you get fit. With all of these positive factors, there are negative ones too. Kids can get addicted to phones, and almost never stop looking at them. Phones at family meal times ruins the whole point of having those special times together. At night, screens can stimulate your brain so that it is harder to sleep. People looking at their phones while crossing the road can end up with fatal accidents.

Phones have become a huge part of our lives, whether we like it or not. If you find yourself not having those quality times without your phone, here is a challenge for you: Try not to look at a phone screen for at least half a day. Maybe try playing a sport or go shopping with a friend or family member (of course, without looking at your phone unless of emergency), paint or draw, or get caught up in a nice book.

Animal Testing (Medical and Cosmetic)

Pros and Cons of Animal Testing:

Pros:

  • It can let us know if a cosmetic product or medicine is dangerous.
  • Dangerous cosmetic products and medicine will have a less chance of hurting humans (because they wouldn’t be distributed unless the animals in the testing didn’t have bad results)
  • Animal testing can result in saving many people’s lives.

Cons:

  • The animals that are tested on can die in very painful ways.
  • Animal testing is considered inhumane
  • Animals and humans are different, so their reactions may differ.

Should Medical and Cosmetic Testing be Banned?

It should not because people wouldn’t know if medicines and cosmetic products are dangerous. However, it should because cosmetics aren’t necessary, and the way companies test on animals is usually inhumane. Also, technology has been improving, so there might be a huge discovery on how to test products without the use of living beings. My idea is that governments could give money to scientists who have proposals for a technology item that can check the safety of products, without the use of animals. Of course, the idea has to be backed up with test results and facts so that it sounds as if it has a high chance of working. If my idea is put into play, many more animals lives can be spared and lots of money can be saved. It’s a win-win for everyone.

Should Kids Wear School Uniforms?

Should kids wear uniforms? In my opinion, they shouldn’t. Wearing clothes is one way kids(and adults) can express their ideas, style, and opinions. Also, uniforms can be very expensive and uncomfortable. Schools may claim that uniforms are great because they create order, and makes everyone seem “elegant” and “pristine”, but truth is, it doesn’t. To me, it just makes a bunch of unhappy kids(from experience).
