Climate change is real. Influential and powerful people might claim that climate change is a fraud, but they are lying(probably to make money or be more famous). Climate change is caused by the excess carbon dioxide that we, the human race, is making. The carbon dioxide creates a cover over earth’s atmosphere, turning earth into a huge greenhouse. All of the energy from the sun comes into the atmosphere, but is not let out. Climate change effects everything in the world, one way or another. The arctic circle is heating up, so icebergs are melting. Since icebergs hold a lot of water, the ocean level is now rising, threatening to flood coastal towns and cities. Also, many droughts have been reported due to rising temperatures.
As big as climate change might sound, anyone can help to lessen it. If everyone pitches in and does something about it, it can possibly become less critical. Some things that you can do are:
- plant a tree – trees use carbon dioxide for energy, and they release oxygen)
- spread the word – convince others that climate change is real! If you have a lot of followers on youtube, instagram, Facebook, twitter, etc., you can show them why climate change is so bad, and what you can do about it. If lots of people say that climate change is real, those influential and powerful people who say that it’s a fraud may change their mind, and might do something about it too.
- create an organization – maybe you can create an organization that gets scientists together so they can figure out solutions to lessen climate change.
